Senior Construction / Project Manager / Quality Manager / Project Engineer with over 30 years experience in the requirements for the engineering, construction, constructability reviews and project management, certification & inspection of pipe, plate, valves, pumps and associated equipment for the Oil and Gas (onshore & offshore) and Petrochemical Construction industry in both Greenfield & Brownfield environments

In addition to managing a diverse multi- disciplined site PMT team, also responsible for interfacing and administering two EPC Contractors on a Lump sum and reimbursable Contracts.

Reporting to the Head of Projects, employed as a consultant to manage all construction activities on the OML 123 field development for Addax Petroleum in Nigeria.

Responsible for managing the onshore fabrication and offshore installation teams from planning and development, construction reviews and resourcing; fabrication execution, offshore installation and commissioning, and directing the installation contractors in the scope of work and execution.

Scope of work consisted of fabrication and installation of several wellhead platforms and associated topsides works (piping, E&I), and interconnecting, compression and treatment facilities  subsea pipelines and Brownfield tie-in works to allow start-up of the new facilities with minimum production impact.

Working for Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN) as the Construction Lead, on the $ 860Mn  revamp of the Oso RE platform and installation of four CRA pipelines, from Oso RR platform to satellite facilities (RD/ RB/ RE & RH) . Project included a mixture of Brownfield work on existing platforms, and new pipeline installations. 

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, responsible for all aspects of the construction and execution planning and installation works (including de-oiling and re-commissioning of the pipeline system). Managing a multidiscipline team of superintendents, engineers and technicians, and interface with JVO operations and prime and installation contractor from contract negotiations through to construction and HAZOP reviews, execution planning, installation and commissioning.

Working for Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN) as the Construction Lead, on the  replacement of 17Km of 24” subsea pipeline, and tie in to the existing pipeline system.  Reporting directly to the Project Manager and deputizing for him in his absence. Responsible for all aspects of the construction and execution planning and installation works (including construction reviews and resourcing, de-oiling and re-commissioning of the pipeline system). Managing a multidiscipline team of superintendents, engineers and technicians, and interface with prime and installation contractors from contract negotiations through to execution.

As one component of project execution, successfully completed the project under budget and also the largest production shut-in in the MPN calendar until 2012, nine days ahead of planned schedule.

Onshore scope includes installation of 2 x 19.5MW GTG (Generators) 8 compressors (VRU / MP  & HP) and 31 Brownfield tie-ins / hot taps.  Offshore scope includes installation of 100MT deck extension to the Oso platform, 64 miles of subsea lines (32 x 12” & 32 x 16”) platform piping and tie-ins (30 tie-ins & hot taps).

Working for EMDC (ExxonMobil Development Corporation) as the Construction Site Lead (EMDC Senior Site Representative) on the EAP EPC 2B $10Mn Pipeline and Onshore works located on Bonny Island Nigeria.

Duties involved management of the prime contractor and sub contractors on a  9.2Km 12" NGL pipeline to the MPN Bonny River terminal, and supervision of the cofferdam dam construction for beach pull activities, onshore works and pre-pipe-lay offshore dredging works.  

Reporting to the Project manager, responsibilities include ensuring that the prime contract is administered and executed correctly, that all EMDC safety requirements are met and fulfilled and that the project works conformed to the contract quality requirements.

Seconded to BP as part of the PMT for LOT ‘A’ as a SPE. Responsible for overseeing all activities of the management and construction of the EPC contractor on spread 2 (478Km of 42” & 46” diameter) on the BTC $308Mn 1046Km pipeline in Turkey. 

Reporting to the pipeline Delivery Manager, principal duties involved review of procedures, method statements, calculations and drawings, ROW route survey and selection and liaison with the EPC Contractors. Participating in project reviews for construction / execution and risk assessments and supporting the field based PMT during execution phase of the project.

Additional duties involved deputizing for the Delivery Manager in his absence.
